A mostly sunny and warmer day today will give away to increasing clouds this afternoon and tonight.
A disturbance over Texas is moving east and will bring a chance of showers and a few thundershowers in northern and western sections of the state this evening into the overnight hours.
Temperatures will be moderating today through the weekend, as southerly surface winds take hold and increase across the state.
Temperatures are expected to reach near 70 across the north by Sunday afternoon, and into the 70’s for the rest of Alabama.
Rain chances will increase by the end of the weekend and into Monday state wide.
Meanwhile, a Red Flag Warning is in affect for much of the state. Dry conditions combined with low relative humidity will contribute to extreme fire danger.
