Thunderstorms have picked up in intensity over Arkansas, and northwest Mississippi late this afternoon.
The Storm Prediction Center has included the northwestern corner of Alabama for the standard slight risk of severe weather for tonight.
The main threat from these storms will be damaging wind gusts.
We believe the storms will hold together into the northwestern portions of Alabama.
The threat remains low and expect only an isolated severe storm or two as the system moves into the state.
The timing will be from 9 pm tonight until 3 am in the morning, with the severe threat area along and north of a Reform…to Fayette to Double Springs line.
