A cold front has moved through the state overnight, and pushed the rain out along the way.
Much drier air is moving in behind the front and dewpoints have already dropped into the upper 40’s across western Alabama. In addition, temperatures are noticeably cooler as well.
The clearing line is still back to the west near the Mississippi River. With the dryer air quickly moving in, we expect conditions during the day today will be mostly to partly sunny, especially during the afternoon hours.
The airmass change will be noticeable across the state. Temperatures will have a hard time rebounding today and we should see highs in the 60’s.
A cool night is on tap for Thursday night.
Temperatures will warm some on Friday back into the 70’s as dry air remains in place.
