Water vapor satellite shows the Upper Low spinning over southeast Arkansas.
This Low has not made much of a progression southwestward as models were indicating Thursday.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms continue to rotate around the eastern side of this system through Alabama.
Temperatures will rebound this morning into the 80’s by Noon, outside of those areas receiving morning convection.
Thunderstorm coverage is expected to increase during the afternoon.
Much like Thursday, the increased upward motion associated with the Upper Low will support showers and storms that have developed to our southeast and move to the northwest.
Chances of getting wet are likely across most areas by this afternoon. Southwest areas of the state remain under a Flash Flood Watch through the day as well.
Models indicate the upper low will finally begin to retrograde west by Saturday afternoon. Higher than normal chances of scattered storms will continue over the weekend due to the ample amounts of moisture and lingering boundaries expected.
