There will be scattered showers overnight over north and central Alabama…however we don’t expect any widespread storms.
For areas in southwest Alabama including the Mobile area, we will see widespread thunderstorms… and there is a risk of a few severe storms in that region of the state.
We may finally be seeing some light at the end of the tunnel. It’s looking like the threat of additional organized severe storms is reduced over the coming days. I have to admit, this is not written in stone and could change.
We still have a humid air mass in place and we could still see some strong thunderstorms and locally heavy rains on Wednesday.
The upper low located over Southern Missouri and northern Arkansas and associated cold front should push eastward on Wednesday. This will produce additional rounds of showers and storms.
Behind this system we expect to see drier air moving in, and Thursday could be a mostly dry day.
