Periods of clouds and some fog will burn off this morning…as it looks like a partly sunny day will be the rule for most areas across Alabama today.
A ridge of high pressure will help dry the area and temperatures will rebound from Wednesday. There will still be a slight chance of an afternoon thundershower.
Highs today will range form the low 80’s in the north to mid 80’s across central sections and near 90 in the south.
By tonight another upper trough and associated cold front will approach Alabama with another round of showers and thunderstorms. The best chance will be after Midnight over northwest Alabama. It looks as though Friday morning we will see the best chance of this system moving in.
Once again we expect to see numerous showers and thunderstorms move across Alabama through the day on Friday. We don’t expect to see severe weather with this system, but some areas will see locally heavy rainfall.
We are going to have to watch where this front moves, as it looks as though it may hang around through the weekend. This could enhance the chances of showers and storms on Saturday again.
