Welcome to the longest day of the year…Summer officially arrived at 5:51 AM CDT this morning. The days will get shorter until December 21st.
We’ll kick off summer 2014 with yet another day of scattered showers and storms across all of Alabama, and some of those storms could produce some gusty winds at times.
We will be watching a upper level boundary moving to the southeast in the northwest flow over Alabama this afternoon and evening. Rain chances this afternoon will be around 40%.
Highs this afternoon will heat back up into the low to mid 90s.
Sunday will be a fairly dry day across the north with scattered showers and storms in the south.
