We expect to see another upper level shortwave trough to bring another day of good chances of showers and thunderstorms today.
There is quite a bit of shower and thunderstorm activity across southern Louisiana and over the adjacent Gulf… and it all looks poised to move northeastward into Alabama.
Like on Thursday, there will be some areas to receive locally heavy rain…while other locations receive little if any.
Daytime highs will be held back to the mid to upper 80’s due with the clouds and showers.
Once the trough axis gets to our east Saturday, high pressure appears to build into the southeast. This ridge will help suppress the thunderstorm activity for the weekend.
