Sunday Afternoon Update

Several thunderstorms have developed ahead of a squall line of thunderstorms currently moving across northwest Alabama into north Central Alabama.

Some of the stronger storms, including portions of the squall line, are capable of producing gusty winds up to 50 MPH, heavy rainfall, and frequent lightning.

The Storm Prediction Center is looking at north Alabama and they are not planning to issue a watch at this time. The SPC does indicate the risk of damaging wind gusts possible for this afternoon.
