Much drier mid level air will push into most of Alabama today and remain over the region through Saturday.
Arthur is now a hurricane off the east coast. We won’t see any rain from Arthur…however the cyclonic flow around the hurricane will help pull cooler and drier air southward into the southeast states.
Surface dewpoints will fall into the upper 50’s across north Alabama this afternoon with dewpoints in the 50’s area-wide on Friday.
Temperatures will cool down nicely over the next few days with highs on the 4th of July holiday averaging 5 degrees below normal.
Low level easterly flow on Saturday will bring in slightly higher moisture into east Alabama, but drier air aloft will keep the area rain free.
