Nice weather continues for July as we are some 5 to 10 degrees below normal. Mostly sunny and dry weather will continue into the holiday weekend.
Tropical Storm Arthur moves up the Atlantic New England Coast, and will allow surface high pressure ridge to slide south and east and encompass much of the eastern United States.
This will allow for a slow return of moisture and moderating temperatures through mid week across Alabama.
With high pressure in control for the remainder of the weekend into the first part of next week, no rain is anticipated.
This afternoon, highs will reach the mid to upper 80s for the northern and central locations. The southern third of the state will reach 90 to 93 for afternoon highs.
