High pressure will build into north and west Alabama today and will overtake the state by Saturday.
The dry air in place will leave little available moisture for anything but isolated thunderstorms.
The moisture this afternoon will be quite abundant across southern sections of the state. This will provide focus for thunderstorms mainly along and south of the Interstate 85 corridor.
Afternoon high temperatures will reach into the 90’s state wide today.
As we look into the weekend, both Saturday and Sunday look mostly sunny and dry. The rain chances will be low and temperatures are forecast to reach into the low to mid 90’s state wide.
