A weak cold front is located in southern Tennessee early this morning. This front will be the focus for more thunderstorm development through the day.
Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop by late this morning into early this afternoon ahead of a cool front across northern sections of the state.
The front will track southeast through the day, ending the the threat of thunderstorms from northwest to southeast during the afternoon.
The best chance of scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms will develop along and south of I-20.
The thunderstorms will produce locally heavy downpours, brief gusty winds and cloud to ground lightning.
Highs will be in middle 80s north to lower 90s south.
