* Temperatures…Middle to upper 90s.
* Impacts…The combination of heat and humidity will increase the chances of heat related illnesses. Heat indices will approach 105.
Southwest flow today will bring usher in a very warm air mass across central Alabama. Temperatures will warm into the middle and upper 90s.
Along with muggy conditions…heat indices will approach 105 degrees across the western and southern portions of central Alabama.
Counties included in the heat advisory: Autauga, Barbour, Bibb, Bullock, Chilton, Dallas, Fayette, Greene, Hale, Lamar, Lowndes, Marengo, Montgomery, Perry, Pickens, Pike, Sumter, Tuscaloosa
The Weather Service office in Tallahassee has issued a heat advisory from 11am until 7pm for Coffee, Dale, Geneva, Henry, Houston
A heat advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is expected. Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside.
