A high pressure ridge pretty much dominates our weather pattern this morning. And as all good things must come to an end, the ‘fall type’ weather we’ve been experiencing in recent days is ending…for now.
There is an upper wave now moving across eastern Texas and western Arkansas along with a weak surface low over southern Georgia.
Even though very dry air remains in place over Alabama, there could be a few sprinkles this morning across the area.
The combination of the upper wave, and daytime heating will produce a few showers and perhaps even a thundershower this afternoon, but no widespread rain is expected. Chances of getting wet are pretty low, perhaps 20% for this afternoon.
Temperatures will warm a few degrees from yesterday with low to mid 80’s across the northern and central sections.
South Alabama will be more in line with the upper 80’s and perhaps reaching 90 in a few spots.
