Looking at the satellite view this morning indicates abundant clouds across the southeast.
A stalled boundary remains across the coast today. The surface low associated with the boundary is expected to waffle along the coast through the weekend.
Overall moisture will continue to increase with a few scattered showers and thunderstorms possible today with daytime heating. A weak disturbance over northern Mississippi may trigger some activity this afternoon as well.
Rain chances look to be about 1 in 3 or near 30% for today. We don’t see any widespread rain, but the clouds and scattered activity will hold back the temperatures a few degrees.
Afternoon highs are expected to reach near 85 across the north and approaching 90 in the southern sections.
The unsettled weather will continue into the weekend. The best chances of rain look to be on Saturday.
Tropical Storm Bertha formed out in the Atlantic last evening. We don’t expect any affects from Bertha as she is expected to curve away from the Atlantic Coast next week.
