A very moist airmass remains in place over Alabama this morning. Areas of dense fog are widespread and visibility are near zero across the area.
The fog will give way to partly sunny skies through the morning.
Afternoon temperatures will warm to around 90 in most locations, depending on how much sun we see we could see temperatures reach into the 90’s.
Showers and thunderstorms are again expected to develop across much of the area later today, as a series of weak upper level disturbances continue to move across the region.
Gusty outflow winds, frequent lightning and heavy rain, some of which could produce localized flooding, are possible with the stronger storms.
The weather pattern is expected to remain unstable with above normal chances of seeing thunderstorms through Tuesday.
Periods of scattered to numerous thunderstorms can be expected about anytime through Tuesday when a cold front is expected to move through the state.
