A pleasant August day is on tap for today with low humidity values continuing across the state.
It’s a cool morning across the north with temperatures in the 50’s. Mid to upper 60’s elsewhere with a few clouds across the south.
A tranquil weather pattern is expected over the next few days with high pressure well in control of Alabama’s weather.
Lower than average dewpoints will keep humidity levels in check through Saturday.
Temperatures will be on the moderating trend with mid 80’s across the north, upper 80’s central and low 90’s across the south this afternoon.
We expect mostly sunny and dry weather to continue before the next chance of scattered showers and storms come back into the forecast on Sunday.
Surface high pressure to our southeast over the eastern Gulf will help to increase moisture values by Sunday. This will combine with afternoon heating and produce scattered storms Sunday afternoon.
