The radar is all clear early this morning after a fairly eventful evening Wednesday across the eastern counties.
We expect dry weather to settle in today state wide as the upper ridge of high pressure really starts to take control.
Typical summertime heat is expected for the next several days, and today will be no exception.
Afternoon highs will reach the lower to middle 90’s for north and central areas, with upper 90’s expected across the southern third of the state.
The heat index will reach over 100 this afternoon across many areas of Alabama.
There is a slight chance of a pop-up shower or thundershower this afternoon and evening. The chances of seeing one is less than 20%.
