For the first time in 4 days, there are no excessive heat advisories for anywhere in Alabama.
Easterly low level winds will help to bring in drier air into the state today. This will help to cut down on the humidity levels, especially on the eastern side of the state.
Temperatures will be hot but not as excessive as in recent days. Afternoon high temperatures will be near the upper 80’s across the east and low 90’s for the western and southern areas.
The best chances of seeing scattered showers and thunderstorms will be over the western sections of the state today.
The scattered storms will be shifting from the east to the west over the state, and will end this evening over west Alabama.
Beyond tonight, the forecast is for dry weather for several days. High pressure is expected to regain control of our weather until Thursday or Friday when moisture levels return.
