An almost tropical airmass is located over Alabama this morning.
A stalled boundary is located over central Tennessee from storms on Tuesday evening.
This boundary may provide a focus for more thunderstorm development this afternoon.
The combination of this boundary and a weak disturbance will combine with the heat and humidity to produce scattered thunderstorms later this morning into the afternoon.
The storms that develop today will be moving very slowing to the southeast, and some folks will get some hefty downpours.
The scattered nature of the storms will leave a lot of folks dry as well.
We expect temperatures to reach into the 90’s even with the scattered storms around.
More of the same is expected on Thursday, with the heat index becoming an increasing factor as temperatures are expected to become a few degrees hotter through Friday.
