High pressure along the East Coast this morning was sending an easterly flow into Alabama and helping to spread low clouds into the state.
The surface cold front that has become stalled across the southern part of the state will get an additional push from an upper level disturbance today and tonight.
This upper level trough will allow scattered showers and thunderstorms to develop over the state today and into the evening hours tonight.
The better chances of rain appear to be over the eastern sections of the state.
The increase in clouds and scattered showers will keep temperatures out of the 90’s today…except for the extreme southern locations where low 90’s are still possible.
No severe weather is expected today, but some storms may produce gusty winds and heavy rain.
