Saturday looks to be partly cloudy for Alabama with increasing clouds especially during the afternoon.
A low will develop in the Gulf of Mexico and move east on Sunday, spreading showers and thunderstorms across the state starting on Saturday night.
We expect lots of clouds and showers on Sunday, along with some thunderstorms. No severe weather is expected with this system.
At this point, the most widespread rain is expected over central and southern sections of the state. Rainfall totals of over 1 inch are likely for most locations with some locally heavier amounts possible.
The HPC is forecasting several areas of more than 2 inches over the southeast including Alabama. The heaviest rain totals may stay just offshore, but widespread significant rains appear likely over much of the southeast.
