The afternoon highs are expected to remain in the 60’s today for the northern two-thirds of the state. The southern third of Alabama will make it into the 70’s, and overall a pleasant fall day is in store for the region.

The surface high will usher in some really cool and dry air for tonight. You will want to grab a jacket when heading out tonight or in the morning. We expect lows to dip down into the 30’s for the northern third of Alabama. Lows will be down into the 40’s for the rest of the state.
The temperatures will moderate some on Sunday afternoon as sunny and mild conditions prevail across the state.
Looking ahead into next week, we will see temperatures warming again into the mid 70’s across the northern sections and 80’s in the south. We may also see a chance of showers by late Monday across the northern sections.
