Monday was an active weather day for northern sections of the state, especially the Tennessee Valley. Several thunderstorms became severe with numerous reports of hail.
The weather pattern we seen Monday will extend into today. This will allow more upper level disturbances to move over the northern half of Alabama.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected across the north and north central sections of the state today.
Some of these storms will be strong producing gusty winds, hail and locally heavy rainfall.
We are expecting a cold front to move into Alabama on Wednesday that will bring in some drier air.
The dry air will be only temporary, a southerly flow will result and moisture returns again by Thursday.
Temperature are expected to remain warm through the rest of the week.
