After a period of strong and severe thunderstorms, a cold front is moving through Alabama today.
The strong storms and heavier rains have moved eastward into Georgia and scattered showers remain especially over eastern sections of the state.
No additional severe weather is expected for the day.
Cooler air has filtered into the state, and we expect clouds to hang around at times through the day. Scattered light showers will be slow to move out over east Alabama.
The weather will be cooler for the next several days, as temperatures will feel more like fall.
Wrap around moisture and weak lift with a upper Low will keep light rain in the forecast through tomorrow…mainly over northern Alabama.
Afternoon highs through Thursday will run from the mid 60’s across the North with mid 70’s south.
Night time lows will be chilly with 50’s in most areas.
