Arctic Airmass Moves South

The unseasonably cold temperatures associated with an arctic airmass will continue to surge southward into Alabama.

The coldest temperatures so far this season are expected to filter into the state Thursday night through early Friday morning.

This cold spell is expected to extend all the way into next week, with temperatures running around 20 degrees below normal.

We will be watching closely for the possibility of some winter type precipitation to affect northern sections on Sunday.

There will be more updates as this potential event develops and unfolds in the coming days.
