Lots of clouds will remain over Alabama today with temperatures remaining rather mild through the next 24 hours. Expect lower 50’s north to lower 60’s south both today and tonight.
Scattered showers will be possible this afternoon and increasing tonight. There will be a chance of hearing some thunder tonight with the better chances by Tuesday afternoon and evening.
Severe storms and flooding remain possible Tuesday afternoon into early Wednesday morning. Large hail and damaging winds will be possible Tuesday afternoon, along and south of I-20.
Due to heavy rainfall, localized flooding will be increasingly possible through the day.
By Tuesday evening, the threat of damaging winds and a brief, weak tornado will be limited to locations along and near I-85 in south Alabama.
The threat of localized flash flooding will also continue. The potential for strong to severe storms will end early Wednesday morning.
The Storm Prediction Center maintains a slight risk of severe storms over southern Alabama from Tuesday into early Wednesday morning.
