Lots of clouds and areas of light rain and drizzle will make for another dreary weather day over Alabama today.
Some cooler air will begin to move into northwestern sections of the state…however a strong arctic cold front will push southeast into Alabama early Tuesday morning.
A colder and drier airmass will invade the region on Tuesday as cool high pressure sets up over the state. The colder and drier weather is expected to continue through Thursday.
The night time lows will drop down into the 20’s across the north and 30’s south. Daytime highs will reach the 40’s north and 50’s south.
This weather pattern will allow some drying to occur over areas that have experienced heavy rain in the last week.
As we look towards later this week, another wet pattern may set up over the southeast and Alabama.
Indications are that widespread and perhaps heavy rain will move back into the area by the weekend. We will fine tune this forecast through the week.
