A sharp cold front is moving through Alabama early this morning. This will bring an end to the rainfall that moved into the region on Sunday.
Much colder weather is filtering down into the southeast behind this cold front.
Temperatures today have already reached their high for the day in most areas.
Some scattered flurries mixed with some snow showers are possible this morning over the northern sections of the state. No accumulations are expected.
Windy conditions will calm tonight as the frigid airmass settles into the state with lows well down into the 20’s.
Conditions will warm some on Tuesday ahead of the next system moving into the area on Wednesday night.
We will be watching this system as it could have some potential to provide frozen precipitation. However at this point, nothing major is expected.
