A surface ridge of high pressure will shift southeastward across the area today. This will keep skies clear and moisture low over Alabama.
The warming trend will continue through the weekend with dry conditions through Sunday.
Afternoon high temperatures will reach into the 60’s north and some 70’s south by Sunday afternoon.
A shortwave rotating through the atmosphere will push a front through the area Sunday night and Monday. It looks as though moisture will remain low along the front.
We may see some showers with the system by Sunday night, but no widespread rain is expected.
We expect to see some cooler temperatures behind the front, but nothing extreme for this time of year.
