Well, it looks like we’re in for a roller coaster ride when it comes to the weather over the next 5-7 days.
For tonight, just a plain cold night in store with readings in the upper teens in the north to low 20’s in the south. Of course some of the normally cooler spots may reach the mid teens by 7 am.
Friday will be just a few degrees warmer, with Saturday even warmer. However another strong cold front comes through Saturday and Sunday morning temperatures will be in the mid teens north to upper 20’s south. Those cold temperatures remain for Monday morning as well.
The interesting part of the forecast will be Monday and Tuesday.
For now, it looks like rain may work into the Alabama, and we could see a mix of sleet at times. Temperatures warm up late evening and everything should switch to all rain overnight.
We expect a 2nd and stronger storm system Tuesday into Wednesday. Depending on the storm track and colder air, the timing, severity, and wintry possibilities will likely change as we get closer, so stay tuned.
