A fast moving cold front and associated storm system will move into north Alabama overnight and into Monday morning.
The Storm Prediction Center has introduced a Marginal Risk of a few severe thunderstorms just to the west of Alabama for tonight.
We are not expecting any of the thunderstorms to become severe over the state, but we will keep a check on the latest developments.
Widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected to increase over northern sections after Midnight. Some of the thunderstorms will be capable of producing gusty winds, small hail, and locally heavy rain.
The front will move into southern sections of the state through the day on Monday. The rain and thunderstorm chances will shift south along with the front.
