The cold front responsible for the stormy weather Friday is moving southeast through the state this morning.
A dry and cooler day is on tap for today as the clouds clear and the sun appears by the afternoon. You can also expect to see some quite windy conditions through the afternoon.
Afternoon temperatures will reach the lower 60’s north to low 70’s across the southern part of the state.
Tonight may be the last night in which we see temperatures in the mid to upper 30’s for northern Alabama. At this point it appears that most areas will remain above the suggested criteria for any significant frost by Sunday morning.
The exception would be the northern third of the state where temperatures will be a few degrees cooler.
The National Weather Service in Huntsville has issued a frost advisory for the Tennessee Valley counties in their coverage area… which is in effect from 3 am to 7 am Sunday.
The weather is expected to remain dry through the day on Sunday. Clouds will increase through the afternoon, and rain chances will be back in the forecast Sunday night.
Monday looks like it will start out as wet for most areas.
