Wet Week Coming Up

The cold front that moved into Alabama Friday has allowed drier air to move from northwest to southeast across much of the state.

There is a temperature range of 20 degrees from north to south early Saturday morning. With the drier air moving south, dry conditions for Alabama are expected for today.

The drier air will move off east on Sunday as moisture returns to locations across the the state. Rain chances are back in the forecast for Sunday across the southern part of the state and points north by Sunday night.

The front that has moved to along the coast will return as a warm front and will interact with a upper low and abundant Gulf moisture to produce widespread showers and thunderstorms through Monday.

We may get a short break from the rain on Tuesday…however the weather will remain unsettled through late week…with more rain and thunderstorms likely.

The HPC is forecasting widespread rain totals of 3″+ for the next 5 days.
