There have been some severe weather reports over Arkansas and Louisiana and storms should continue to develop and move east through Mississippi.
The Storm Prediction Center has made an adjustment to the severe weather outlook with the system overnight.
The slight risk has been trimmed back to include the northwest corner of the state. This area will experience the main impact of stronger thunderstorms overnight.
Damaging winds will remain the main threat with the storms as they move into Alabama. We expect the storms to weaken as they move further eastward across the area.
We will continue to monitor the weather situation overnight, and if any major storms develop…we will be along to update you on Twitter and the blog.
