Today will begin one of the more prolonged periods of rain-free weather conditions that we’ve seen in quite a while across Alabama.
The only exception will be over the northeast sections of the state…where we may see a few passing showers this afternoon. Once this weather feature moves through, cooler and drier air will filter into the state.
Drier and cooler air will continue to filter southward tonight with dewpoints dropping into the 40’s for most locations except the south. Northerly winds will continue during the day on Friday and keep temperatures below normal.
The weekend continues to feature picture perfect weather and temperatures for outdoor activities.
At this point…no rain is seen in the forecast for the next 5 to 7 days.
