Storms Have Been Few and Far Between

Only a few scattered showers and storms developed over the region Monday into the overnight hours…with most locations remaining dry.

A few showers and thunderstorms developed this morning across central Alabama along a weak convergent zone aided by a weak mid level shortwave.

The cold front with a distinct wind shift and lowered dewpoints is just to our northwest.

We expect to see isolated to scattered storms along and south of the weak convergent zone through the day…as it and the actual cold front slowly shift southward.

The front should sink to far south Alabama by this evening and a couple dry days will take us through mid week.

Southerly flow will return and the chances of showers will enter the forecast by Thursday.

We expect to see better and more widespread rain chances return by Friday into Saturday.
