Brief high pressure builds in for today before the cold front now along the coast lifts back north as a warm front on Thursday.
Once the warm front clears the area Thursday afternoon, chances for showers and storms will increase each afternoon.
From Thursday night through the weekend, a series of mid level impulses will cross the area as moisture remains high.
Right now the best chances for coverage will be Friday afternoon through Friday night.
For the rest of the weekend through the first of next week, scattered storms will continue as we remain in a southerly flow through the period.
The best chances of getting rain will be with scattered storms in the afternoon with the peak heating of the day.
