Weather Remains Unsettled

An unsettled week ahead appears likely for Alabama as a weak low pressure and upper level disturbances move through the region.

These weather features and an approaching cold front will produce scattered showers and thunderstorms through Thursday.

The main threats with these storms this week will be locally heavy rain, wind gusts as high as 40-50 mph, frequent lightning and perhaps some small hail.

If the front makes it down into northern sections of the state by Thursday, this will allow the storm chances to push southward to areas just along and south of the boundary.
