A weak and slow moving cold front is located just to the west of Alabama along the Mississippi River.
This front will edge to the east and combine with daytime heating to produce showers and thunderstorms across the region.
With plenty of moisture and the weak front as the trigger, thunderstorms are expected to be more widespread today than on Saturday.
It doesn’t look as though we will dry out a lot in the next few days. Showers and thunderstorms will continue to linger through the new week.
