A weak cold front remains over the region and may help produce a few extra scattered storms this afternoon over central and southern sections of the state.
Southerly flow is expected for the southeast as a surface ridge builds off the southeast coastline. An upper level ridge will also build across the western Atlantic over the weekend.
What this means is the heat will continue to build and with the heating of the day…scattered showers and thunderstorms will be possible through the weekend.
Temperatures won’t have any problems reaching into the low and mid 90’s for most locations.
It looks as though summer time weather is here to stay for a while.
