The high pressure ridge begins to take control of our weather across the southeast today.
An isolated shower or storm still can’t be ruled out during the peak heating of the day. If you do experience one of those showers or storms, you’ll be very lucky as most areas will just be hot and humid.
The ridge will continue to strengthen by Monday and Tuesday sending temperatures up into the mid 90’s across Alabama.
Heat Index values are still looking to be in the 100-105 degree range for Monday through Wednesday.
We’re advising everyone who has to be outside to take those extra precautions and drink plenty of fluids.
An area of increased moisture to our west may move our way by Thursday. This may increase our daily chance of scattered showers and lower daytime highs a few degrees by late week.
