Unsettled Weather Pattern

The weather pattern over the area has completely changed to more of a stormy pattern.

We are currently in a northwesterly flow, which allows the storm complexes that develop north of Alabama to drop southward and produce areas of thunderstorms.

These upper level disturbances are often hard to predict, and can provide a few surprises.

Northern and central sections of the state are the most favored area to see the most storm activity…however chances of at least scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms may continue state wide through the week.

The folks at WPC are forecasting some significant rainfall over the next 5 days…especially across the northern region.
