The overall weather pattern remains unusually active for this time of year today.
Widespread showers and thunderstorms are located over the southern sections this morning with other showers over the northeast.
The upper level low and trough will try to lift northeast of Alabama today, and this may reduce the rain chances for western sections of the state.
We still have various boundaries over the area today that will interact with daytime heating and produce more showers and thunderstorms this afternoon.
I don’t think we will see as many strong storms today as in recent days, however with plenty of moisture in place…some locally strong storms will develop.
A high pressure ridge will begin to build into the region and we expect drier weather conditions for the upcoming week.
With more sun and less clouds, we expect temperatures to warm back up for the work week through next weekend.
