Hot and humid conditions will continue over Alabama for several more days. Temperatures for today are again expected to climb into the mid and upper 90’s.
Heat advisories continue for most areas as the heat index reading will go above 105 degrees.
We expect slight chances for scattered showers and thunderstorms to continue today, with most locations remaining hot and dry.
The high pressure ridge over Alabama will shift to the west and this will gradually increase rain chances over the region.
Even with the increase in rain chances, daytime high temperatures are still expected to reach into the 90’s through the rest of the work week.
By Wednesday through Friday we expect to have several upper level disturbances move in from the northwest flow.
We will monitor this potential for organized thunderstorm development, which could provide some periods of widespread showers and storms.
