The high pressure ridge responsible for the hot temperatures is still expected to have less of an impact on our weather for the rest of the week.
We expect the heat to back off somewhat as a result of increasing clouds and rain chances along the way. Temperatures will still reach into the 90’s most days.
We have plenty of heat and moisture over the region, and there will be several upper level disturbances produce scattered showers and thunderstorms.
The better chance of seeing these will be during the afternoon and evening, however with the northwest flow, we could see a storm just about anytime over the next several days.
Some of these storms will be strong with gusty winds, frequent lightning and very heavy rain.
We will watch for organized storm development as this could increase the chance of seeing some of the storms becoming severe.
I’ll keep the blog updated and follow me on Twitter for the latest.
