A ridge of high pressure over areas of the Midwest will expand eastward over Alabama and much of the southeast for the next several days.
We expect mostly dry conditions over the area…however we can’t rule out an isolated shower or thunderstorm, especially in the eastern portions of Alabama.
Any isolated thunderstorm activity won’t affect many folks, and will be short lived.
The main forecast concern through the weekend and into the beginning of next week will be the heat.
Temperatures are expected to rise into the 90’s with heat index levels around 100 for the weekend.
We may see rain chances increase again by the middle of next week and more likely by late week.
