Moisture Levels Increasing

Moisture will increase today as low level winds become southwest and deeper moisture over Mississippi shifts eastward into Alabama.

A more active sea-breeze today will push a boundary into the southern counties this afternoon producing scattered thunderstorms.

A disturbance will push into western sections of the state as well, combining with afternoon heating producing additional scattered storms.

Better rain chances will come tonight and Thursday as the main short wave trough pushes through the area. Widespread showers and storms are expected on Thursday as a fairly strong short wave enters the area.

Severe potential looks limited at this time, there could be some strong storms…so we will be watching this system for further developments.

Another fast moving impulse will approach the state on Friday, with an increased chance of showers and storms.

A quick look into the weekend, shows drier conditions and the heat levels moving back up due to the lack of clouds and rain.
