Front Moves In Today

Some showers and thunderstorms will be possible as an upper trough pushes a frontal boundary southward into the state today.

We have quite a bit of moisture in place to work with today as additional lift works through.

The best chances of thunderstorms will be over the southern half of the state. Some storms will be locally strong to possibly severe.

The Storm Prediction Center has the southern half of Alabama in the marginal severe risk through the day.

Rain chances continue to push southward tonight and no rain is forecast for Wednesday and Thursday as dry air moves into the state.

Much more pleasant conditions are forecast with afternoon temperatures backing down a bit, with much lower humidity levels.
